We teach children
to draw like a professional

With our proven method, your child will learn techniques that will develop their artistic talent and unleash their full creative potential

Suitable for children ages 6 to 14

At MUSE Art Studio, we have been dedicated to teaching drawing and painting to children since 2015. Our philosophy is simple: any child can learn to draw like a professional with the right guidance and practice.

We focus on developing observational skills, mastering perspective, and drawing cartoon characters, comics, anime, as well as realistic human figures. Using professional techniques adapted to their age, our students enhance their observation and creativity, laying the foundation for a future full of opportunities in fields such as the arts, graphic design, marketing, engineering, architecture, biology, botany, advertising, and many other areas where artistic talent is essential.

All of this takes place in our in-person sessions at the MUSE Art Studio in North York, Toronto.

In 2015, we started with a small group of children, and today we continue shaping the creators of tomorrow

The achievements children reach at MUSE Art Studio

Drawing,
sketching, and outlining

Learning to build images step by step, using effective methods to achieve precise proportions.

Mastering various techniques
and art materials

Graphite, charcoal, coloured pencils, ink, soft pastels, watercolour, acrylic, and oil painting.

colouring,
shading, and painting

Understanding how light creates volume and depth in a drawing or painting: light, shadow, gradients, colour harmony, and grayscale tones.

Training the eye
to see like an artist

Drawing requires attention and observation. Only through careful observation can one capture shape, size, colour, and texture.

Drawing with confidence
and precision

Mastering hand control to create clean lines (curves and straight lines) and smooth transitions.

Awakening
creativity

Creativity is built on observation and knowledge. It awakens when we transform what we see into new ideas—by combining and reinterpreting what we know to create something truly unique.

How do our in-person classes work?

Interactive method that
ensures every child learns to draw

Children work directly with the Master Art Tutor, who draws alongside them, demonstrates each step, and provides real-time corrections.

Step-by-step demonstrations with professional materials

The Master Art Tutor draws in front of the group, clearly explaining each technique so students can apply it immediately and confidently.

Small groups for better focus and individual guidance

Maximum 8 students per group, so each child gets the attention they need. The calm, focused environment helps them stay motivated and grow with confidence.

A space to learn,
grow, and find
inspiration

Our studio is more than just a classroom — it’s a respectful space where children are treated as artists and taught real drawing skills with a professional approach.

Learning to draw in person with a real Master Art Tutor makes all the difference. At MUSE Art Studio, children receive the kind of artistic training that’s rarely available at such a young age.

What parents say

There’s nothing better than the experiences of parents who have seen their children's progress through our approach. At MUSE Art Studio, we take pride in guiding each child in their artistic development, helping them build a solid foundation from an early age. Below, some testimonials reflect the positive impact of our classes.

Before taking classes with Jorge, my daughter was like any kid, drawing freely on paper. She did not pay attention and has no idea how to proportion the object.

Then we met Jorge, we were amazed by his students’ work. I did not have high hopes for my daughter even though she was really interested to learn from Jorge.

Jorge taught her from the basics, made her draw lines : thick ones, thin ones, curvy ones, circles, then she learned shading, light to dark. Every class she had to practice these basic skills before moving on to her drawings. As time went by, we started to see progress. Her drawings became more realistic and were able to capture attention.

Within a few years, my daughter was introduced to different mediums, pencil, colour pencil, pastels, watercolour and oil. He was very patient in teaching her various techniques. He constantly assessed and tailored the class to her needs.

When my daughter decided to apply for the Claude Watson Art Program, he coached and guided her to prepare for the portfolio. It was a wonderful experience to see how my daughter grew to become a true artist. And even until recently, my daughter would still approach Jorge for advice and comments.

Jorge has developed his unique structured system to teach art and as students move through the system, they all acquire a strong base. From there onwards, they continue to advance and mature in their own directions.

Inaya always loves drawing and she loves spending hours just by drawing different characters. We have learnt about MUSE Art Studio e from internet and inaya wanted to give it a try. That was I believe is the best decision we have made for inaya. She has learnt so many things from Jorge that helping her to learn drawing.

The one thing I really wanna mention is that inaya loves the way Jorge teach. The every detail he observes. On Inaya’s word "Jorge, notice each of my pencil strokes, he teaches me every detail, how to draw, how to give shades. Each and every small detail he teaches me so well".

Thank you Jorge.

Certainly. Kelly enjoyed the class very much. Through the class, she learned how to capture all the details, and We were quite impressed with some of her projects.

Kelly also had fun in the class. She told us about the music that they played while drawing, which made the learning experience more interesting for a girl at her age.

I’m Jorge Cruz, and this is how MUSE Art Studio was born

For as long as I can remember, drawing has been my world. While traditional school never managed to motivate me, art did. I wasn’t the best at math or memorizing facts, but when I discovered graphic design, everything changed. I went from being a struggling student in the traditional system to standing out in a field where creativity is key: advertising, design, and marketing.

In 2015, at the request of several moms from my son’s school who were looking for a drawing class for their kids, I began teaching him and a few of his classmates here in Toronto. What started as a small group in a classroom grew into MUSE Art Studio—a space where children can develop their talent with the right guidance.

Over the years, I’ve helped children strengthen their skills through in-person classes designed to teach drawing and painting at a professional level. Thanks to their training at MUSE Art Studio, many of my students—including my own son—have created strong portfolios that opened the doors to prestigious art programs in high schools and universities.

I’m incredibly proud to see how art has given them new opportunities and a passion that will stay with them for life.

These are some of my drawings and paintings. This level of detail is what we gradually help students develop, because observing and creating with precision, whether in drawing or painting, is the foundation of all great art.
